Scott J. Norby

Scott J. Norby has been actively engaged in the practice of law in Nebraska for almost four decades. Throughout his career, he has appeared on behalf of clients in virtually all of Nebraska’s counties in a wide variety of legal matters. Scott presently represents professionals in administrative disciplinary proceedings and employment disputes as well as labor organizations in collective bargaining and contract disputes. Scott also serves as legal counsel to labor boards, tribunals, and commissions.

As legal counsel to the Nebraska State Education Association, Scott represents the Association, its members and affiliates in member rights, professional negotiations, legislative and organizational matters. Scott has been recognized by “Best Lawyers” in education law for more than ten years.

Nicholas J. Welding

Originally from O’Neill, Nebraska, Nick Welding’s legal career has focused exclusively on labor and employment litigation. He regularly represents Nebraska educational professionals in administrative disciplinary proceedings and grievance resolutions. Nick has successfully navigated complex areas of labor law, including the Family Medical Leave Act, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Nebraska School Employees Retirement Act. Nick also provides guidance in professional negotiations and employment contract disputes.

Jon Hunzeker joined the firm in 2019 after working for six years in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, as a civil trial lawyer.
